Terrific Twos
Yaniv Attar (Music Director, Bellingham Symphony) returns to the RCO to lead a program of twos. Flutist Demarre McGill (principal flute, Seattle Symphony) is widely heralded as one of the best artists in his field today. He joins with longtime friend and chamber collaborator Jessica Choe (piano, Seattle Symphony) for an enthralling duo concerto by early 20th century composer Erwin Schulhoff. Schulhoff draws on many influences including those of his Czech roots and its renowned composer Antonin Dvorak. His Czech suite provides a lively opener to the concert. Finally in a return to the beauty of Beethoven, his joyous second symphony closes the evening of music.
